About This Game The Murder Room is a Virtual Reality escape game. You're trapped in a apparently normal room, where you must find items and solve puzzles to escape. But not everything is as it seems. In the way, you may find hidden objects. How fast can you escape? 7aa9394dea Title: The Murder Room VRGenre: Action, Adventure, Casual, Indie, SimulationDeveloper:Bellcat GamePublisher:Bellcat GameRelease Date: 22 May, 2017 The Murder Room VR Free Download [portable Edition] the murder room vr walkthrough. the murder room vr The Murder Room VR is your typical Escape the Room game: no intro, no story, just puzzles leading to the exit. Unfortunatley it looks and feels like a beta version.First of all, it looks nothing like in the trailer linked at the store page, there's far less objects and puzzles in it compared to the video. The game itself contains a few unused items which make me think some content was cut before the release. The trailer shows a much more advanced and polished product.Apart from that you can clip though walls, fly or go below the ground to some degree. The game uses an unusual moving system, which at first made me feel weird, but I got used to it rather quick and got to like it in the end. For someone who's tired of the teleport movement seen in nearly every VR game, it's a nice change.Graphics is rather basic, I wouldn't be surprised if The Murder Room VR was built using Unity Store assets. There are barely any sounds in the game and they're quite annoying for most of the time.Puzzles are clever and interesting with some exception. The worst was the very last puzzle which would make you start the game from the beginning in case of a mistake. Unfortunately there's not that many of them and you can complete the game in about 30 minutes.I can't recommend this product considering its technical state, false advertising and its price while offering less than an hour of playtime.. A good example of an escape room for VR. The room scale feels accurate and the interactions on most of the objects are simple and exact. The puzzles are well constructed and don't feel too hard or too easy and there are a few extra things to keep you wondering how everything fits together. The amount of elements to complete in the room easily exceeds most of the escape room games for VR that are on Steam today. Many other games boast 3+ rooms, but only have a puzzle or two in each, whereas this is a single room, but has 10+ puzzles to work out.Not sure if the previous reviews were before the devs fixed things - as I had no issues with the teleport movement (others detail motion sickness, maybe they were using trackpad movement?), or items glitching out of the room or not existing. If you played this game previously, try it out again as I suspect many of the issues have been resolved - and if you haven't played it yet, it's worth a run through, though a price point of $11 might be a little high for the content IMO.. Short version: This is a decent room escape game, but with it being plauged with issues and the lack of gametime I would not recomend it. Length: The game took me roughly 50 minutes to complete, which alone would be too short for the 11 dollar entry fee, but the reason behind why it took me 50 minutes because I had to restart twice since items would clip through the walls and I would be unable to retrieve them (A step back from the last game from these devs). If that were fixed this would have been a 30 minute experience. Puzzles: The puzzles were hit or miss... Some were interesting and took a little bit of thinking, but others just took a little guess work. The puzzles on the bomb didn't seem to have any clues towards their solution (other than the clock) so I spent 5 minutes just guessing them all. Overall, for an escape the room game, this area is lacking. UI: I wanted to mention that I was very dissipointed that there was no pause option, and since there is no pause screen there is no way to restart the puzzle (Which is an issue since the wire cutters glitched out of the map and I had to take off my VR stuff and restart the game manually.)Overall, I would skip this game.. Unfortunately, this is the first VR game I have played that actually made my head spin and made me feel nauseous. I think the puzzles themselves were very well done. I like the "layers" you have to unravel to escape. But the game is just too "glitchy" and when combined with the disorienting feeling of "flying" around the room, I unfortunately have to give it a thumbs down. Examples of glitches below -MINOR SPOILER ALERT- Found it really hard to work the flashlight. I would try to hold the flashlight and I would keep grabbing the battery instead. Once I did get a hold of the flashlight, it wouldn't be held horizontally in my hand but would instead dangle downwards. - The pieces of the puzzle would randomly fly around the room if I didn't get them on the board perfectly. - When holding the wire-cutters, I wouldn't be able to let them go. I would have to run them into a table to force them off my hand. - Also a bit frustrating to get all the way at the end to accidentally cut the wrong wire in order and have to start from the beginning..... Game wouldn't launch and no support even after a couple of days. (Refunded). Got it to work no problem. The puzzles really work out well. It took just a right amount of time without being WAY too difficult. I've done several Escape rooms and this one was fun. Got it while it was on sale. Don't regret it at all.
