No special equipment is required for laying siege. However, to assault a fortification requires construction of ladders or siege towers. The siege equipment constructed is unique to the fortification and takes time based on your engineering skill to build.

This theater is the main stage of a siege and the only battle phase which is guaranteed to happen. This is where your ladders or siege tower come into play, the men on the walls will constantly attack you and your troops while they charge up the ladders or siege tower and onto the walls.
Besieging Fountain Hall requires the construction of a siege tower. In the siege battle, the player's troops will climb the tower onto the walls of the town, however the siege tower starts on the walls and does not need to be pushed like in other sieges.
It is recommended that an infantry-heavy army is used to storm the central tower that the siege tower leads to. Due to Falcon troops' blunt weapons, minimal casualties will be recieved. The player's character should focus on enemy archers to take pressure off of beaten-down infantry. Following this strategy, Fountain Hall should be relatively straightforward to conquer.
Defending Fountain Hall is fairly simple. Large enemy forces come in waves, due to the distance between the spawn point and the breach point, and as such each batch of enemies can be isolated and destroyed. Effective archer placement along the walls will help here, while concentrated infantry in the main tower will defeat the few troops that make up the siege tower after the long bridge. It is suggested that the player focus on taking out enemy archers, which will most likely be the biggest threat to the defenders.
When you choose to besiege a place you will see how much food they have left (and how many days the food can last for), and also what sort of equipment you need to besiege it. Ladders take only a few hours to build, but a siege tower may take several days. The type of equipment is determined by the location; you do not get a choice in the matter. Increasing your Engineer skill will lower the construction time of both types of siege equipment. On the battle map itself there will also be some trebuchets, but these are merely decorative and cannot be fired.
If you "wait until tomorrow" while one or more enemy leaders are inside one of them may decide to attack you if his party is sufficiently larger than yours. When this happens the battle will take place on a regular field map rather than a siege map, and therefore your mounted troops will get to use their horses. If you don't want to fight him you can entice him to attack and then retreat, leading the party far enough away that you can circle around and get there before they catch you (if you get too far away from them they will stop chasing you and will head back to the siege). If your siege equipment is complete you can go straight into an attack and they won't be able to interrupt you. If it isn't you can repeat the process.
When you attack the walls you will have to make your way up the ladder or siege tower while braving the enemy's shafts. At the top will be a thick group of defenders (generally archers); if you just lead your infantry straight up you may take some losses, so if you have archers of your own you may want to get them to kill or weaken the group of defenders at the entrance before you lead your infantry up the ramp.
1) Simply improve the fire angle of the tower to reach 135. Meaning a significant buff to the defenders since they will have more chances to destroy the opposing siege towers. Nothing more, nothing less. 2ff7e9595c
